Job Summary 

We have a rare opportunity for a Business Finance Graduate to join our team at Agrial Fresh Produce & Florette in Lichfield. Here at Agrial, we want to support and develop high calibre Graduate talent within our Finance function, creating our Finance and Business leaders of the future. We want to nurture broad and rounded Finance skills and experience, adding exposure to industry specific business expertise, in order to add significant value throughout our business.

This is a business facing role, predominantly office based due to the extensive liaison required with our Operational, Procurement, Logistics & Commercial teams.  Your work will directly help these departments and the wider business to understand performance against KPIs. You’ll be ambitious, with a genuine desire to work in a true management accounting role, in a fast-paced food environment.  In return, we’ll offer you unrivalled support and development, and will give you the opportunity to develop your experience across our multiple UK sites.

Working hours:  08:30 – 17:00

About Us 

Florette is one of three UK food manufacturing factories owned by the French co-operative group, Agrial. Agrial has operations across 18 regions, with 280 farming outlets and 5 different divisions, which comprise Beverage, Dairy, Meat, Fresh Produce & Agricultural operations; it’s not just about lettuce! As well as the 3 factories we also have a farming operation – Agrial Fresh Farms. All UK sites operate under the name of Agrial Fresh Produce Limited and fall under Agrial’s vegetable division.

The business is more recognisable in the UK by its Florette salad brand and we are now one of the UK’s leading producers in the industry. Under the Florette brand, our site processes and distributes pre-packed, ready to eat fresh salad bags to well-known retailers in the UK. We have a recipe for success through our EPIC values and working together as one team.

Main Responsibilities 

  • BUUK – Daily and Weekly Performance Reporting.
  • BUUK Business Improvement Projects, working across the 4 sites in the UK
  • Monthly accounting for Commercial Conditions, Claims and Transport
  • Monthly analysis on Sales and Margin (Volume, Price, Cost analysis)
  • Budget/Forecast control
  • Key point of contact between the UK and our HQ in France
  • Assist in the production of costings, optimisation and customer account planning
  • Wider support to the Business Finance team

Skills and Experience required

  • Degree in Accounting and Finance, or similar relevant subject
  • An ambitious individual with a thirst for knowledge and experience
  • Ability to deal with multiple stakeholder priorities
  • Skilled in making Finance accessible to non-finance leaders
