We are currently seeking a Business Development Executive to join a well-established, family-run SME based in Watford. As a Business Development Executive Responsible for proactive business development activities to maintain & grow revenue in a portfolio of unqualified existing customers.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Execute outbound calls and activities to grow and retain existing and new customers.
  • Identify & follow-up quotable opportunities.
  • Utilise existing customer data base to identify new lead opportunities
  • Research new sales prospects via various channels
  • Work closely with inside sales team to ensure customer follow up is actioned promptly and effectively.
  • Demonstrate to customers a thorough understanding/knowledge of our product ranges.
  • Accurately record customer interactions and data in CRM

Hours: 07:30am -4:30pm (Mon-Fri)

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a telephone based sales role.
  • Experience of working with technical or complex information.
  • B2B industry experience (Ideally tools/fixings/PPE/construction consumables)
  • Proven track record of successfully meeting sales quotas over the phone
  • Working knowledge of relevant computer programs (e.g., CRM software) and telephone systems
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Persistent and results-oriented
  • Patient and able to handle customer rejection.
  • Ability to influence.
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong teamworking skills
