To maintain the CFC by carrying out reactive and preventative maintenance activities and improvements works at the CFC. Works closely with the Operation and Engineering teams to react and repair any defects.
Key Responsibilities:
– Carry out planned maintenance across the site in an accurate, timely and safe manner
– Keep records of work activities, tasks carried out, parts used through stores, training etc
– Maintain the drainage and water suppliers within the CFC.
– Perform daily housekeeping and cleaning duties of equipment and ensure, through maintenance activities, that equipment is safe and maintained safely
– Supervise / work alongside external contractors when required
– Assisting in development of planned maintenance system and be involved projects within the Buildings Technology.
– Ensure site standards are high. An excellence approach to all activities and site standards within your area.
– Communication and reporting of all work activities, defects and parts used to the Building Services Engineer or nominated deputy.
– Planning and scheduling planned and unplanned work;
– Carrying out quality inspections on jobs; ensuring work is completed safely, and to a high standard
– Arranging specialist procurement of fixtures, fittings or components, if required
– Reporting of Hazards, Accidents and Near Misses, being involved in identification and implementation of solutions
– Be available to attend training sessions.
What do we want from you?
– Experience within a service support role in an automated production environment, preferably for a 24/7 FMCG business.
– Experience within a site facilities support role would be advantageous
– Some technical ability relating to contracting / site maintenance, this may include, but is not limited to: Good understand of building practise including:
– Carpentry
– Plumbing
– Plastering and Rendering
– Painting and Decoration
– Electrical
– Basic Engineering craft skills including welding and fabrication.
– Sound analytical skills, good problem solver.
– Good communicator and interpersonal skills, able to analyse and impart knowledge.
– Good organisational ability, able to prioritize.
– Self motivated, consistent and able to work at pace
– Computer literate in MS office package.
– English Language ability such that able to read and understand safety information, technical manuals and data, and communicate clearly with colleagues to enable a safe environment
