Building Surveyor

My client is looking to take on a dynamic and ambitious Senior/Associate Building Surveyor to take a lead role in developing this side of their business.

The consultancy already offer a range of commercial services and they are looking to expand their Building Surveying function due to an overwhelming request from their clients who range from global PLC’s and Estates through to small and large corporate occupiers.

The successful candidate will be working closely with the Managing Director and will have the autonomy to lead the Building Surveying division who will cover the full project and professional services including; Project Management / Contracts Administration, Dilapidations, Party Wall matters, DDA reports, Schedule of Condition, Pre-acquisition and measured surveys and Due Diligence.

Due to the key role this position will hold, the service offering of the division will be molded to the successful Surveyors strengths and aspirations.

The ideal person will be a dynamic, client facing individual who has a proven track record in managing surveying assignments from initial client meeting and tender through to completion.

Requirements:
 MRICS qualified with good post qualification experience
 BSc (Hons) in Building Surveying or related subject
 Consultancy background with good client facing project and professional experience
 Commercially astute with the ability to work independently and within a team with an understanding of P&L and fee generation.
 Experience in staff management and mentoring surveyors through their APC would be preferable.
 Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a proactive can do attitude to fit in well with the team and help develop the building surveying side of the business.
