Salary: £60,000 – £72,000 per year
Building surveyor needed in London.
Job Purpose:
•Lead the building surveying assessment of complex, high risk and high value projects.
•Deal with developers and their design teams to provide expert knowledge and technical advice on building standards and regulations.
•Check design details to ensure they comply with building standards and regulations.
•Carry out site inspection of building work.
•Review and check reports and submissions.
•Take part in peer review and monitoring.
Skills Required:
•Chartered membership of a professional institution e.g. RICS or MCIOB.
•In depth knowledge of Building Regulations and understanding of all aspects of building construction practice.
•Understanding of building pathology and experience of building defect identification and land remediation.
•Thorough knowledge of environmental issues and relevant standards and legislation.
