Salary: £39,600 – £45,600 per year

This is a permanent, full-time role for Multi-Skilled CONSTRUCTION WORKER with BRICKLAYING training, based in Sussex.

Established for over 50 years, this reputable Main Building Contractor – awarded by the Sussex Heritage Trust for its’ high-quality workmanship – are now looking for a Multi-Skilled Construction Site Worker / Groundworker / Bricklayer with the technical ability to a take on various construction duties, working on alterations, renovations, restorations for domestic clients’ homes and Grade II listed buildings throughout Mid-Sussex.

GROUNDWORKER / BRICKLAYER / CONSTRUCTION SITE WORKER – MID SUSSEX

LOCATION: Working predominantly in the Haywards Heath area. You may be looking for Bricklaying & Groundwork Construction jobs in Sussex, West Sussex, Burgess Hill, Mid Sussex, Balcombe, Cuckfield, Cowfold, Lindfield, Chailey, Danehill, Handcross, Warninglid, Newick. Full driving licence needed.

SALARY:  £33,000 – £38,000 plus benefits, tools provided, 21 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays, pension.

HOURS: 7.30am – 5.00pm Monday to Friday only. No weekend work required!

You will be working as part of a small, friendly, close-knit team on site, setting out, acting as Foreman, interpreting working drawings and specifications, liaising with Architects and domestic clients, assisting in the construction, bricklaying and general groundwork jobs on site. 

Projects can range from 3-12 months, small or large contracts may include alterations and repairs to Grade II listed buildings; extensions and conversions of old and new properties; construction of new buildings, from conception to completion.

Your background will be in on-site Construction work. You will be certified, or time served in Brickwork, confident in all aspects of Brickwork, Stonework and Groundworks, such as: Bricklaying, paving, drainage, foundations & oversite structures, fencing and landscaping.
