Job Description

My client is a successful accountancy business based in Manchester. Due to continued growth, they are now looking to recruit a remote bookkeeper to help support the business and their clients.

The role is 100% remote, and the successful candidate must be UK-based.

The Role: As a remote Bookkeeper you will play a pivotal role in managing and maintaining and financial health of clients. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring accurate and timely recording of all financial transactions.
  • Expertly navigating Tax and VAT regulations and requirements.
  • Preparing and submitting Tax and VAT returns on behalf of our clients.
  • Collaborating with clients to address accountancy-related queries and provide guidance.
  • Conducting regular client audits to identify and rectify discrepancies.
  • Keeping abreast of changes in financial legislation to ensure compliance.

Qualifications: To excel in this role, you should possess:

  • Proven experience as a bookkeeper with a strong focus on providing client support.
  • In-depth knowledge of UK Tax and VAT legislation and regulations.
  • Proficiency in accounting software QuickBooks, Xero and Dext financial tools.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Strong communication skills to interact with clients effectively.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
