Overview
Due to an internal promotion an opportunity has arisen for a Bookkeeper – Accounts Assistant who is keen to progress to join a reputable, professional, and growing team of Accountants and Business Advisors based in superb modern spacious offices on the outskirts of Guildford. This role could be ideal for an individual who has already commenced achieved level 2 or 3 of AAT and has some previous experience.
Bookkeeper – Accounts Assistant – About the Role
Depending on your experience to date you will be responsible for the preparation of accounts up to trial balance for a range of clients from Partnerships to Limited companies.
- Maintaining sales ledgers and purchase ledgers, reconciling bank statements.
- Utilising various accounting packages prepare clients VAT returns
- CIS returns
- All aspects of bookkeeping
- As you progress you will be involved in more complex accounts production.
The successful Bookkeeper – Accounts Assistant will have:
- Previous experience within a similar role
- At least 1 year’s current bookkeeping experience, ideally gained within a practice environment
- Min AAT 2 qualified studying level 3
- Ability to build strong client relationships
- Knowledge of Sage/Xero accounting software (desirable)
- Strong communication skills; written and verbal
- Must have good attention to detail
- Ability to manage and prioritise workloads
