Blood Sciences Manager

Mid Essex Hospitals NHS Trust are currently seeking a Band 8A Blood Sciences Manager on an interim basis.

Successful candidates must have following education/qualifications.

• Registration with Healthcare professions Council Biomedical Scientist
• MSc Biochemistry, Haematology or Blood transfusion, IBMS Fellowship qualification or equivalent experience
• Management qualification with reference to leading teams or equivalent experience

Successful candidates must have knowledge/experience of;

• Planning and Management
• Development and implementation of new procedures and processes
• Be able to work closely with clinical leads to ensure provision of high quality
• Timely and efficient clinical service to the Trust and its users
• Provide leadership and support to all departmental staff regarding; recruitment, appraisals, service development and discipline
• Be responsible for ensuring Trust, Pathology and Department Polices are adhered to and responding appropriately to any breaches.
