Salary: £84,000 per year

Our client a leading Civil Engineering Contractor are looking for a Building Information Management (BIM) Coordinator for their Head Office team to provide BIM support to active construction projects and also tenders for new work.

The role requires continuous assessment of industry good practice and identification of areas where they should concentrate resources to achieve competitive advantage in their markets.

The role will include:

• Drafting BIM Execution Plans, subsequent documents and drafting technical questions.

• Providing 2D/3D modelling resource to the business.

• Supporting BIM delivery on tenders to include determining BIM/CAD requirements and the production of pre-contract BEP’s, ITT responses, Visualisations, 4D schedules and sequence animation videos.

• Supporting all aspects of the implementation of BIM on live projects including training the project team and promoting best practice BIM methodologies.

• Generating feedback reports on BIM best practice, improvement opportunities and issues to be resolved.

• Supporting the implementation of company-wide document control standardisation processes.

• Contributing to the testing, upgrading and implementation of CAD/BIM/Document Management software and systems.

• Maintaining awareness of BIM standards, best practice and future developments.

• Engaging with relevant working groups e.g. BIM4 and the UKBIM Alliance.

You will have:

• Experience of operating in a dedicated BIM role for at least 2 years.

• An Engineering or technically-based HND or degree level qualification.

• Knowledge of the BIM Suite of Documents and their implementation.

• Experience of working in multiple Common Data Environments, using Autodesk and Bentley Systems 2D and 3D applications.

• Working knowledge of BIM ISO and BSI relevant standards.

• Ability to create 4D schedules and animations via Autodesk Navisworks and Synchro Pro.

• Detailed knowledge of infrastructure design processes and construction techniques.

• Awareness of the methods of civil engineering construction i.e. reinforced structures, earthworks, temporary works etc.
