Due to internal progression we have an exciting opportunity to join our Finance team within our Restaurant Associates sector as a Bid Finance Analyst supporting the UK&I net growth delivery through constructing commercial models to be submitted as part of bid proposals.

As Bid Finance Analyst you will be working alongside subject matter experts to ensure the financial proposals are as compelling as possible and consistently offer the lowest intelligent price to clients. You will look for continuous improvement and share best practice in the approach taken to commercial modelling across the UK&I business in addition to providing financial support on special projects such as new investments and M&A activity.

Main responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:

  • Estimating, reviewing, and challenging bid requirements, reviewing risks and opportunities, and undertaking modelling, costing, pricing, as appropriate.
  • Work in conjunction with Subject Matter Experts covering all lines of Profit & Loss account to develop accurate and compelling financial proposals.
  • Proactively provide options and scenario planning analysis to ensure a healthy balance between attractive client proposals and a sustainable financial position for the business.
  • Support business development manager with the communication of the commercial proposals to clients where required (both written & verbal)
  • Support sector finance & operations with financial handover following contract award
  • Support the wider sector with modelling & financial analysis on projects as required
  • Ensure best practise, robust commercial standards are established and always promoted.
  • Take responsibility for the management and accurate population of financial sign off documentation.
  • Attending meetings, provide reports and liaise with all stakeholders on commercial analysis matters.
  • Work with company central finance personnel within each channel to facilitate timely and successful CAF approvals to the appropriate authorisation levels.
  • Develop and communicate standard estimating methodologies, rules, and guidelines across business channels.
  • Assess and improve key benchmark data to justify the commercial viability of bids at the outset of the strategy planning phase and to facilitate the executive sign off phase at the end of the bidding cycle

The successful Bid Finance Analyst will:

  • Be CIMA/ACCA or ACA qualified
  • Commercially aware and capable with the ability to understand scenario planning
  • Excellent Excel Skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently
  • High levels of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Disciplined with a strong orientation towards processes and procedures.
  • Self-starter and ability to operate at all levels (from site level to senior management).
  • Ability to manage own workload and time.
  • Confidence to challenge senior management where appropriate.
