BENCH HAND – Component and Assembly Cells

Location – Redditch

Salary – 3 month temporary to permanent £26,000per year.

On successful completion, salary circa £26,000plus benefits package

Our client is an award winning global aerospace manufacturer and has an opportunity for a Bench Hand to join their team.

This position is to be based in Redditch and is easily commutable from Birmingham, Bromsgrove, Droitwich, Solihull, Kidderminster, Worcester, Warwick, Studley and Alcester.

As Bench Hand you will operate standard equipment within all cells and undertake basic setting where applicable.

Key Duties

* Operate the following:
* Power and hand presses, monitoring product using standard gauging –
* Spot-weld machines, this will include basic programme input, electrode changes and Refurbishment
* Part marking equipment which will require use of PC equipment
* Drilling / riveting equipment, this will include changing of drills and riveting dollies.
* Barrel Rumbling equipment.
* Linishing and deburring equipment.
* Perform hand assembly operations.
* Support despatch area by packing industrial product.
* Perform self inspection including some SPC procedures.
* Use of measuring equipment and understand drawings.
* Perform routine plant maintenance including some breakdown repair.
