Secondary or Primary Behaviour Mentor / Academic Mentor Needed in Croydon!
This group of SEBD schools based in Croydon, South London would love to hear from you if you have an interest in working with those aged anywhere between 5 – 19 as a Behaviour Mentor / Academic Mentor.
The role of Behaviour Mentor / Academic Mentor is to start immediately, there is a term time only direct school contract on offer, your hours of working will be 8.20am – 4.00pm and a starting salary of £26,000per year is on offer!
Not too bad for getting all of the schools holidays off work!

This is a multi-site special school for students aged 5-19 with Social, Emotional and Attachment difficulties, particularly challenging behaviour, and/or additional complex needs. The large majority of their students have additional complex needs. For example, many are on the Autistic Spectrum (ASD), and many need Nurture and/or have Attachment Difficulties / Disorders, Learning Difficulties, Speech & Language difficulties, Asperger’s, PDA, ADD, ADHD, OCD, ODD, Dyslexia or Dyspraxia.
The role of Behaviour Mentor / Academic Mentor is not for the faint hearted but the rewards can be great!
As a Behaviour Mentor / Academic Mentor you will be pleased to know they provide a stimulating, exciting and fun curriculum tailored to the individual needs of the learner, to help each student to reach their emotional, social and academic potential.
A Behaviour Mentor / Academic Mentor works on a full time basis supporting student’s behaviour and learning inside and outside of the class, this is primarily a class based position however it’s very likely you will end up doing 1:1 withdrawal sessions at some stage in order to maintain the progress of student’s behaviour and learning.
