Band 6 Community Psychiatric Nurse (Cpn)

Salary: £30 per hour

We are looking for a Band 6 Community Mental Health Nurse (CPN) for a fantastic opportunity to join a specialist Dementia Intensive Support CMHT based in Bury St Edmunds, within the NHS.

Temporary pay rate: £30ph ltd

Hours and length of contract:
*Monday – Friday 09:00-17:00
*Initial 3-month contract (likelihood of extension)
*The manager requires the position to be filled ASAP

Daily Duties:

You will work within the community as part of the Dementia Intesnive Support Team carrying a caseload of older adults users suffering from ill memory and mental health including dementia.

The service offers support to those suffering from Dementia or if users are:
*finding it hard to recall words, dates, names or recent events
*finding it hard to follow a conversation
*difficulty in making decisions and forgetting time or what day of the week it is
*increased confusion, reduced concentration
*personality or behaviour changes
*loss of ability to do everyday tasks
You will assess, plan, implement and evaluate packages of care based upon individual service user needs and undertake and maintain service users’ Self Directed Support assessments.

Person specification:
The applicant must be DBS cleared and have previous experience in the field.
