A exciting opportunity has arisen for Bakery Production Team Leader for a successful company based in Hungerford. Doves Farm Foods are a growing company specilising in flour milling, breakfast cereal production and baked goods.
Job purpose
Responsible for all aspects of the shifts departmental production, including the smooth operation of production and packaging equipment. Allocating and supervising all work activities of the department/plant operating team. Comply with BRCGS requirements ensuring a clean, hygienic and safe working environment at all times.
Main responsibilties
- Lead the Production shift team allocating daily work duties as required
- Manage the receipt of raw materials
- Manage production start-ups, shutdowns, and changeovers
- Oversee quality control during the shift ensuring products are within specification
- Ensure shift production goals are met
- Ensure shift handovers and tier meetings are completed on a daily basis.
- Train operatives and coach on performance matters
- Ensure a clean and safe work area complying with Food Safety and Health & Safety requirements using 5s
- Ensure accurate and full completion of all shift paper work and booking in production to ERP system.
- Assist in production operations as necessary
- Raw Material, Finished Goods and Consumable stocktakes
- Opening and closing & site security at start and end of shift as required
- Deputise for the Baker as and when necessary
