Back End Developer

A leading retail solutions provider is looking for an enthusiastic IT Back-End Developer. The back end developer will join a team of developers and will play a role in designing, building, maintaining and testing of back-end based applications and embedded device applications using a combination of Object-Orientated C++ and C#.

Required Experience, Skills and Knowledge
• Great understanding and usage of SOLID Principles
• Great understanding of different architecture and design patterns including (null-object, decorator, strategy, singleton)
• C++
• C#
• Experience with developing and maintaining dynamic link libraries in C++ & C#
• Experience with domain-driven design
• Experience with dependency injection and IoC containers
• Experience working within Agile development environments
• Experience with version control systems such as GIT
• Testing; user acceptance, unit testing and test automation

The Role:
The Back End Developer will be responsible for:
• Working with other developers in delivering internal and external back-end applications/services
• Working with other developers in extending business logic within existing back-end applications/services
• Working with other developers in delivering embedded device applications
• Working on internal processes to improve performance, reliability and usability
• Providing day to day support functions for back-end applications that are used by internal/external users
• Analysing and improving performance issues, and making suggestions for improvements of current back-end applications/services and embedded device applications
• Keeping back-end applications up to date with security improvements, and remove any security holes within third-party libraries
• Maintain, contribute and adhere to programming best practices and guidelines
