Salary: £60,000 – £78,000 per year
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a design engineer to work within our design team. You will possess aircraft design experience (electrical/ avionic) and wish your experience to extend into a DOA environment.
• The company is based in the south of England and was the first company in the UK to become a DOA.
• It has expertise to introduce all types of mandatory avionic and electrical fits to both fixed wing and rotary aircraft registered under all European and other Regulatory Authorities.
• In addition, it can evaluate, test and approve commercial equipment to EASA and Ministry of Defence standards, and produce installation certification for special projects.
• It has designed Avionic Modifications for all types of aircraft from Boeing to Airbus to regional, GA and rotary
• The company also design and manufacture aircraft equipment
The role will be to undertake the following amongst other duties
• Produce design packages for customers
• Liaison with customers on projects
• Developing Service Bulletins for installation.
• Utilising CAD to design the electrical / avionic aircraft modification packages when necessary
• Liaise with industry bodies in relation to design
• Undertake aircraft surveys to assess aircraft modification packages
• Undertake all certification issues for modifications with EASA (sub J part 21)
• Trained to undertake aircraft surveys if required
• This role will eventually lead to CVE and Chief Engineer status for the right person
Specification
• Most importantly you wish to undertake a career path that could take you to a senior or Lead (possessing a CVE status) within the organization
• Training and familiarization for EASA and other certifications processes
• You will possess aircraft equipment design experience (electrical or avionic) and some CAD exposure.
• You must be an engineer looking to make a positive career move to expand your experience and create a strong career path for yourself.
