Salary: £30,000 – £36,000 per year
THE COMPANY
Established in 2000, the company is one of the leading audio visual systems integration companies in the South of England. It specialises in highly technical and innovative installations including control systems, video walls, digital signage, high end projection and video conferencing solutions.
Within their Gatwick head office they have all the technical resources to deliver commercial installations from concept through to delivery with the latest technology.
Due to continued growth and success within the industry they are now looking to add a Technician/ Installation team member to their expanding, hardworking team. The successful candidate will be involved in a number of projects as well as preparation and installation of equipment, working closely with the project management team and AV technicians.
THE ROLE
Successful applicant must be able to:
– Assist with and perform installation tasks in a timely and quality conscious manner
– Pull cable, install connectors, mount projectors and wire racks
– Perform installations of projectors and screen support structures, ceiling and wall-mounted speaker systems, video conferencing, digital signage, video walls, sound systems, and control systems
– Solder and crimp connectors
– Read and interpret electronic schematics and architectural blueprints
– Communicate daily job site status to the Installation Manager
– Test point to point functionality of systems
– Diagnose complex system problems and perform equipment specific troubleshooting
– Provide site supervision of the installation team in conjunction with direction from an Installation Manager
– Test integrated systems
– Perform client training as needed
– Act as customer liaison in absence of the Installation Manager
EXPERIENCE
– 2+ years` experience in the audio and video industry
– Industry certifications a plus
– CTS Qualified (not required but preferred)
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
– Must possess a valid driver’s license and be a safe driver
– Ability to work overtime when necessary
