We are working with an automotive education provider in the Essex area who are looking for an Automotive Trainer/Teacher/Mentor to join their team on a permanent, full-time basis.

A fantastic and rare opportunity has arisen for a skilled and experience Vehicle Technician to further their career by becoming an Automotive Trainer/Teacher. The role will be classroom/workshop based at the education provider’s site in Essex teaching 13-16 year olds light vehicle mechanics with a view to them passing their Entry Level and Level 1 in Vehicle Mechanics, and then moving on to college to further their studies.

These students are referred to the education provider throughout the borough from schools, PRU’s and other establishments for many different reasons including Autism, SEN statements to challenging behaviour, and they aim to give them the most positive and engaging experience while they are with them. You will work with groups of around five 13-16 year olds teaching them the basics of Vehicle Mechanics, inspiring them and mentoring them to work towards a great career giving them a sense of self-worth and purpose.

To be successful in this Automotive Trainer / Teacher role you will need:
– A Level 2 qualification in Vehicle Mechanics.
– An extensive proven track record working as a Vehicle Technician.
– The drive and desire to pass on your knowledge to young adults in a clear and engaging way.
– Be a level headed, assertive, calm person by nature as well as being fun and caring.
