Job Title: Automated Test Analyst
Reports to: Test Manager
Location: Brighton
Hours 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, flexitime
The company
A leading software developer, creating bespoke systems and software for the defence and aerospace industries.
Job purpose:
To ensure that all software produced by client is both mature enough for general release and is fit for purpose. This will be achieved by creating and maintaining automated tests within a custom framework.
Responsibilities:
• Contributing to and maintaining the automated test suites in C#.
• Acting as an embedded resource within the team offering manual testing support where appropriate.
• Performing an active role in the development of clients’ test processes, making recommendations and reporting on trends within the wider testing environment.
• The role will require the holder to be able to function with minimum supervision.

Person Specification
Essential:
• Minimum of 1 years commercial automated testing experience within a.net or Java environment
• Knowledge of Selenium WebDriver.
• Hold an ISEB/ISTQB or other relevant qualification
• Must have proven experience writing effective and maintainable automated tests cases (not simply click and record)
• Strong exploratory testing skills
• Must be able to work autonomously, using their own initiative

Desirable:
• Exposure to Selenium Grid.
• Knowledge of NUnit, JUnit or TestNG frameworks.
• Experience of Agile/SCRUM
• Able to achieve UK security clearance
• Experience in Javascript development
• Some background development experience such as SQL, Java, C#, VB, etc.
• Knowledge of the Page Object Model.
