AutoCAD Design Engineer – Manufacturing – Somerset – IM153
Salary / benefits: c£30,000 – £33,600 depend upon experience (+bonus +benefits)

Job Outline:
Owing to continued successful growth, a leading designer and manufacturer of Laboratory Equipment is now looking for a AutoCAD Design Engineer.
You will be responsible for the accurate production of manufacturing drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams and assembly instructions.
You will develop the product portfolios for the existing product range and also the innovative new product ranges.
You will be required to draw all standard components which need to be manufactured, customer approval drawings and part lists, manuals and assembly manuals.
In addition you will create and manage the Company’s technical databases including assisting with technical files, and circulate technical notes as necessary.
Qualifications:
As the successful candidate you will be educated to a minimum of HND in Mechanical Design, Mechanical Engineering, Product Design or a related Engineering discipline.
Candidates MUST be familiar with AutoCAD
Knowledge of REVIT is an advantage.
Experience:
You will be fully conversant with AutoCAD, and be familiar with sheet metal fabrication.
Preference will be given to candidate who also have strong working knowledge of REVIT (desirable, not essential).
As the successful candidate you will have experience working in a Design Environment with Sheet Metal and operating within an ISO9001:2000 environment.
You should be familiar with Design for Manufacture and Assembly, and have a working knowledge of Health & Safety.
Preference will be given to candidates who are familiar with British Standards or European Fume Cupboard Standards.
