Autism Learning Support Assistant

Salary: £26,000 per year

Five Education are a busy special needs supply agency looking for experienced Learning Support Assistants to work with young children in a lovely Primary School in North Somerset. The role is due to start in the new academic year.

Some of the children you will be working 1:1 with have a diagnosis of Autism as well as other Special Educational Needs.

Responsibilities and duties:
Helping the children to develop literacy and numeracy skills
Helping the children to develop and improve their handwriting
Supporting the children in the classroom as well as around the school
Helping the children to use self-regulation techniques, though a lot of guidance and support will be required

Essential Criteria:
Knowledge of the Key Stage 2 curriculum
Have a right to work in the UK (A Valid Visa)
Two recent child/vulnerable adult based references and relevant DBS/Police checks
Access to bicycle, car or near main bus routes
Able to work 8.30-3.30, 5 days per week term time only
