The organisation-
This organisation offers homelessness services for vulnerable females and are committed to providing opportunities that support each person to find their purpose, develop positive relationships and experience a sense of community.

The role-

We are looking to appoint an individual to support a residential programme in Leeds. The successful applicant will be a highly motivated person who has experience working in the social care sector.

If you are dynamic, committed and have experience within the social care sector we wish to hear from you. The programme will offer support to vulnerable females to enable them to live independent lives. More than just accommodation, we will provide a safe, secure Christian environment in which residents can live fulfilling lives and where every individual will know that they are valued and respected.

The role of Assistant Support Worker with this charity is an inspirational one and key to achieving successful outcomes for clients. This role is primarily Lone Working position, where you will have full responsibility whilst you are on shift, working alone. Your role will involve assisting with delivering a high quality programme of support which promotes client choice and control.

You will work to address client’s support needs, enabling them to make positive life choices and ultimately empower them to lead more sustainable lifestyles. You will use your initiative to complete day to day activities with the clients, administration and cleaning tasks as well as reception duties to support the successful operation of the service.

About you/Qualifications-
not essential
You need to be someone who can be personable with women, very understanding and a caring nature. Ideally someone with experience but if not someone with child care experience, ‘ needs and dealing with new mums.
Good verbal and written skills.
Ability to use IT Packages including Microsoft.

Hours of work-
1 posts 20 hours per week
(weekend and 2 evenings per week) (Lone Working)

The hours are Saturday and Sundays 8am- 2.30pm (Week 1) and 1.30pm- 8pm (Week 2), and every Monday and Tuesday evenings 4pm – 8pm. This post is primarily a Lone Working Position, where you will be in the building alone, but will have a handover period between 4pm and 6pm Monday and Tuesday and between 1.30pm and 2.30pm at the weekends with another member of staff.
