Assistant Quantity Surveyor

Salary: £48,000 – £60,000 per year

This is your opportunity to join one of the most successful house and commercial building companies in the North West.

Reporting to the Senior Quantity Surveyors you will be responsible for large and prestigious projects throughout the North West.

You will work closely with the Materials Buyer, Site Managers, the Construction Department, the Development Department, the Accounts Department and the Sales Department so establishing good internal working relationships is a key part of this role.

Your key tasks and responsibilities will be to work with the Senior QS on:

Pre-Start Meetings

Project Managing the Working Budgets

New Subcontractor Meetings

Monitoring and Controlling Build Costs

Quick Interim Monthly and Quarterly Valuations

Payment of Sub-contractors and Suppliers

Increasing the Trade Contractor Base

Payment of Sub-contractors

Pricing of Client Extras

Close Liaison with Site Manager including weekly visits

Contra charges and re-charges against Subcontractors

Surveyor Team Meetings
