Assistant Production Manager – Chemical Manufacturing

THE ROLE:

* To apply strong leadership, sound judgement, technical, process, continuous improvement and individual/team development skills to optimise performances within your management, whilst supporting the wider objectives of the business.
* With your team deliver high standards of cleanliness and reliability of our production plant, machinery, equipment, and work areas. This is a fundamental requirement you will be required to continually work towards to enable the site to achieve our key objectives of Safety, Quality Cost and Service.
* Ensuring that the team have the right skills, behaviour, development and support to be accountable for delivery of exceptional operational results and improvement for the department and the business as targeted.
* Operationally you will have the confidence and ability to work autonomously, working with team members, internal and external customers/suppliers to deliver production plans.

THE PERSON:

Desirable: Degree (technical / chemistry / manufacturing)

Essential:

* Previous People Manager role – preferably FMCG with proven experience in delivering change mgt programme and Continuous improvement.
* Drive and ambition to achieve and push for progression.
* People management experience – delivery with and through people, training & developing and disciplinary.
* Experience of managing teams in a production environment.
