Location: Highbury Campus
Salary: £55,000 – £65,000 (Full-Time Equivalent)
Job Type: Full time, Permanent
Working Hours: Hours 37 Hours per week, 52 Weeks per year

About the role:
The Director of Apprenticeships and Commercial Development will have overall responsibility for the management, delivery and development of Apprenticeship and Commercial programmes and drive the Employer Engagement strategy developing longer-term partnerships with key stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Developing the College’s employer engagement strategy – designing a comprehensive employer engagement strategy reflective of local/regional and national labour market needs meeting employer demand
- Growing apprenticeship provision – recognising areas for Apprenticeship growth, undertaking competitor analysis, developing, and implementing a business plan
- Developing professional training opportunities for businesses ensuring employers have a clear voice in the skills, knowledge, and behaviours the learners require to enable them to succeed
- Identifying and building a compelling and relevant offer, providing advice on the delivery models, and designing high impact curriculum pathways around college specialisms – digital, health, construction and engineering, professional services that are aligned to local, regional and national trends
- Building capacity and capability – designing and building the necessary structures, staffing models, pricing, and marketing strategy necessary for your Apprenticeship provision to thrive
- Ensure high quality learner experience/engagement and outcomes throughout the learner journey
- Building strong external relationships; maintaining high levels of employer engagement and build key employer accounts
- Be a key driver in ensuring retention, pass and achievement rates are always above national benchmark levels and agreed targets
- Profile learner enrolment against retention, achievement, and success targets
- Capitalise on learner progression and destination whilst promoting lifelong learning
To be successful in this role, below is what we would need from you:
- Experience of leading and developing further education, skills, and/or related employment/enterprise services at a senior level
- Leading and cultivating innovation to better meet the needs of customers; joining-up services within local or regional systems; developing new and more effective solutions to complex problems; and responding to the opportunities presented by local diversity and the demands for social and economic inclusion.
- Experience of curriculum planning and design, particularly at Level 3; diversification of income streams; and growing student numbers whilst maintaining quality
- Experience of developing appropriate successful High Needs and Inclusive Learning strategies in collaboration with key stakeholders, parents and students
