Assistant Premises Supervisor
37 hours per week – 52 weeks per year
(Shift System between the hours 7am – 7pm)
Grade E Point 4 – 5, £19,264 – £19,650
We are seeking to appoint with immediate effect, a hard working and positive person to join our Premises team. Relevant experience would be preferable although full training will be provided. The job entails working in a team of 4 with alternate shift rotas of 7am-3pm, 8am-4pm, 9am-5pm and 11am -7pm during term time and between 8am and 5pm during school holidays as well as additional hours during key school events.

SECURITY;
- Ensure security of the premises through open and locking up processes and visitors.
SCHOOL Day to Day Facilitation;
- Delivery distribution of orders
- Furniture layouts for calendared events.
- Perform maintenance and repairs
- Clean up after minor repairs and make good following minor emergency ad hoc cleaning in response to bad weather.
- Maintenance of premises
GROUNDS MAINTENANCE;
- of school fields and borders
- Re-mark winter and summer pitches.
- Ensure that all drives and approaches to the premises are kept clear
CLEANING RESPONSIBILITIES;
- Cleaning and litter picking to maintain school premises and estate during the day
- Ensure effective cleaning of areas not included in the school cleaning contract
PUBLIC RELATIONS;
- Maintain a good relationship with pupils, staff and visitors and users of the school facilities
SCHOOL CLOSURES;
- Maintain the cleanliness and upkeep of the premises during school closures.
- Carry out a program of maintenance across the school buildings along with colleagues.
THIS JOB DESCRIPTION reflects the major tasks to be carried out by the post holder and identifies a level of responsibility at which they will be required to work. In the interests of effective working, the major tasks may be reviewed from time to time to reflect changing needs and circumstances. Such reviews and any consequential changes will be carried out in consultation with the post holder.
You will be expected to ensure that reasonable care is taken at all times for the health, safety and welfare of yourself and other persons, comply with policies and procedures relating to health and safety within the School and demonstrate awareness/understanding of equal opportunities and other people’s behavioural, physical, social and welfare needs.
