Assistant Hydrogeologist

My client, a market leading Civil and Environmental Engineering Consultancy, is searching for an enthusiastic and ambitious Assistant Hydrogeologist to join their Hydrogeology Team based in Belfast.

Applicants are required to have a BSc and/or a MSc in a relevant discipline (e.g Geology, Hydrogeology or Thermogeology) and have experience completing Hydrogeological Risk Assessments, Dewatering Studies and/or Groundwater Modelling.

It is also essential for applicants to have excellent written and verbal communication skills in order to write technical reports and liaise with clients.

It is also beneficial for applicants to have experience working within a UK based Consultancy setting.

Typically the role will involve assisting the Hydrogeology Team with the following;

-Hydrogeological Risk Assessments.
-Landfill Risk Assessments.
-Soil and Water Impact Assessments.
-Water Quality Assessments.
-Ground Water Projects.
-Dewatering Studies.
-Groundwater Abstraction Assessments.
-Site Walkover Assessments.
-Groundwater Modelling using Modflow.
-On site work including; Bore Hole Drilling, Soil and Gas Sampling and Pumping Tests.
-Frequent liaison with Private Sector Clients and Local Authorities.
