As the Assistant Group Financial Accountant, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of cash and liquidity across the group, assisting with group reporting, helping with the audit process and preparing statutory accounts.

You will be an integral member of the group’s Finance team, working closely with the Group Financial Accountant, Group Financial Controller, Management Accounting, Credit Control, Purchase Ledger and Finance Managers at the Elysium’s Head Office in Borehamwood.

Key Responsibilities as the Assistant Group Financial Accountant:

  • Manage the Group’s liquidity and prepare regular cash flow forecasts
  • Prepare daily bank reconciliations
  • Ownership and maintenance of the Groups’ cash books
  • Maintain the Treasury Inbox and make manual payments
  • Manage the Groups’ petty cash processes and reconciliations
  • Assist with group accounting and reporting at month end
  • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations
  • Assist with the monthly management reports – Balance Sheet Pack and CFO Report
  • Prepare statutory accounts for Group entities
  • Any other ad-hoc work as directed by the Group Financial Controller and Group Financial Accountant
To be successful in this role, you will have:
  • Part-qualified ACA, ACCA, CIMA
  • Experience with bank reconciliations and cash book postings
  • Knowledge and experience of the statutory accounting process
  • Attention to detail with a particular focus on accuracy
  • Self-motivated, able to work under pressure and driven to succeed
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Experience of working as a strong team player
  • IT skills, including Excel, and the ability to learn new IT systems and processes
  • Strong attention to detail when reviewing documentation
