OVERVIEW
We require an enthusiastic and highly motivated Assistant Conference &
Banqueting Manager
To assist in the smooth running of the Conference and Banqueting
Operation Department
Deliver exceptional guest care and execute functions with a focus on
Retaining client
ATTRIBUTES & SKILLS
To assist the Conference & Banqueting Manager to manage and supervise
The Meeting and Events department and the areas of the hotel in which
Meetings and Events take place in such a way that company standards are
achieved and maintained in respect of quantity, quality and service.
To handle clients and prospective clients in such a way that sales and
profitability are maximised.
To ensure that training in all aspects of Meetings and Events is carried out
continuously.
To ensure that staffing levels are maintained in accordance with company
guidelines.
To ensure that the quality and quantity of agency staff is in accordance
with company guidelines and that third part staff are retained for period of
time.
To communicate with the Conference & Banqueting Manager the progress
of all Meetings and Events staff, making and illustrating relevant points for
training, retaining, coaching and noting staff who exceed expectations and
staff who are falling below standards.
To ensure that the Food and Beverage Manager is advised of customer
complaints at all times, to deal with or ensure that complaints from
customers are dealt with immediately.
EXPERIENCE
The ideal applicant will have experience within Conference & Banqueting at
a supervisory/ Junior Management level in a Hotel of a 4/ 5 * standard.
Proven track record of achievement.
Minimum of 3 years working as Supervisor
Very comfortable in a guest orientated environment
