Assistant Branch Manager (Roofing Industry)

This division is home to a wide range of businesses including SIG Roofing & Roofline, Specialist Glazing Products and SIG Building Solutions. Together, they serve a wide range of customers each and every day — from all kinds of sector. SIG Roofing & Roofline are the UK’s leading specialist supplier of roofing, roofline, drainage, conservatories, windows and doors. SIG Building Solutions is the umbrella brand for companies within SIG who manufacture metal products including panels, profiles, structural goods and bespoke metal fabrications. Together, they serve a wide range of customers each and every day — from all kinds of sectors.

This is a “hands on” position where you will be working closely with the Branch Manager to ensure all accounts develop profitability. In order to succeed in this role you will have been exposed to all aspects of a branch including sales, administration and stock control.

You will manage existing accounts be proactive in internal & external sales calls, maximise sales opportunities and work on the trade counter as required. You will take full responsibility for the branch in the manager’s absence. Full training will be provided for the right applicant.

Communication, organisational skills, an excellent telephone manner and computer literacy, coupled with a methodical approach and an eye for detail are all requirements of this post. You will have a good knowledge of the trade and products and ideally supervisory experience. A full valid driving licence is essential and it would be advantageous if you hold a fork lift truck licence, however full training will be given.
