Assembly Technician (Mechanical)

The Company

Design and manufacture electro-mechanical equipment for a world wide customer base. They are now looking to appoint an additional Mechanical Assembly Technician.

The Role

Will primarily involve the mechanical assembly of the full range of company products. This will include fine assembly of a range of company designed sub- components, and precision quality control checks following computer production instructions and parameters. New production lines are being set up with cell assembly techniques and processes for this work.
Mechanical and electrical testing – Functionality test of products using company designed testing equipment and Electrical safety testing.
You will be given training in the factory to gain knowledge of components, assembly (electrical/electronic and mechanical), and product testing.

The Candidate

The following qualifications and skills are required:-
City & Guilds level 1&2&3 or HNC/HND, or apprenticeship
Assembly of mechanical components using fine tooling
Some light electrical wiring skills
Ability to work on your own initiative, and plan work efficiently.
Ability to maintain concentration at a high level, with meticulous quality checks throughout

The Package

The minimum salary offered for this position is £26,000per year however the client may pay up to £26,000 per year to a candidate that can meet all key qualifications and abilities.
