Based: Cheadle, Stockport, Staffordshire

£23-25k per annum plus bonuses
33 days holiday per year

The Ideal Person:

The ideal candidate will have a qualification in an engineering subject or equivalent experience within a similar environment of high precision products, and must be able to demonstrate a methodical approach to problem solving as Assembly Technician previously.

You must be both PC literate and able to work independently, or equally within a supportive multi-disciplined team to solve problems and show initiative. As the candidate will be working to assist engineers in the field, communication and interpersonal skills are paramount.

As this role will include detailed assembly work, the ability to accurately follow mechanical and electrical drawings is highly desirable.

Job Description

This is a factory-based role, you will be responsible for the final assembly of scientific devices. In this role you will be required to assemble the instrument, complete the instrument wiring and ensure the system is free of leaks/faults.

Once assembled you will work with our team of systems engineers to fully test the equipment and associated electrical / mechanical systems. You will need a background in the build of precision mechanical and / or electrical equipment to hit the ground running.
