Assembly Operative

Salary: £26,000 per year

We are looking for a selection of candidates for a factory in Newhaven.You will need to be interested to learn about Assemblying of small light plastic and metal parts and work with a team of assemblying staff.

• Duties will include assembling components (some small) using hand-held and air tools to high standards.
• Following basic drawings and standard operating procedures to ensure correct builds.
• To perform electrical safety tests on products and then pack them correctly for despatch to customers.
• Packaging finished products as required. To ensure performance/quality targets are met.
• Ability to work as part of a team and on ones own initiative. Candidates must adhere to all health and safety instructions and ensure that safe working practices at all times. Follow all Company policies and procedures.

Previous factory assembling experience is important in this position. Must be reliable & flexible as ability to work in all areas is essential. Good eye for detail is vital due to small components and manual dexterity is imperative.

The hours of work are 7.30am to 4.30pm Monday to Thursday and Fridays 7.30am to 12.30pm- this work is ongoing and can lead to a Permanent position with the company.
