Assembler – Cleanroom

Manpower are currently recruiting for an experienced assembler for our established client in High Wycombe. Please find below detail and skill sets required for this position:

The main skill required are listed below:

*Can carry out basic soldering (e.g. PCB and cable)
*Can solder using high temperature solder
*Can solder very fine wire
*Good manual dexterity to handle/assemble small components
*Good eyesight (aided or unaided) to work with fine wire and small components
*Can use wide range of mechanical hand tools such as cutters, wire strippers, allen keys, torque wrenches
*Can use a multimeter to carry out basic electrical checks (continuity, resistance)
*Can read and understand written instructions
*Can understand and interpret engineering and assembly drawings
*Has good verbal communication skills
*Can work under pressure to meet deadlines
*Calm, flexible, dependable & reliable
*Good interpersonal skills and a team player
*Can work using own initiative and as part of a team
*Can carry out basic tasks on a computer (data entry, part searches etc)
*Available to work minimum of 37.5 hours per week and 1 hour per day overtime when required

Gauge room Assembler –
*High intensity job – successful candidate has to be detailed in nature – needs to be very accurate and nimble fingered as going to be working with very small products and fine wires.
*The job is also very repetitive as only working on one stage of the assembling the whole day – will not see product from start to finish. 5000 units per year are made.
*5 people in the production process.
*Predominantly sitting down.
*Provide various fixtures – the role can include high temp soldering (experience in soldering would be preferable)

It is critical that the candidate is able to work with fine wires and deal with the high intensity. The people in the gauge room are at the start of the manufacturing process so timing and intensity is vital.
*Working in a cleanroom environment.
*Our client is looking for someone who is calm – possible experience from watch making/fine detail product making job.
