Asp. Net Developer

ASP. NET Developer – Near Dunfermline/Edinburgh – up to £42,000 plus benefits. A successful award winning international business at the forefront of their industry require an experienced ASP / ASP.NET developer to create and maintain internal applications. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented software engineer to take full control of their development.

Working alongside a team of 12 other developers in the IT department, you will join this successful and driven team, working with numerous blue chip clients across the UK and abroad. Reporting to the Head of IT, you will undertake .NET development for both web and forms based development, coding in either C# or VB.NET.

You will be involved in all aspects of the development lifecycle through to implementation and testing, following a controlled development framework, such as agile or iterative development methodology.

In order to be suitable you MUST have solid commercial ASP. Net development experience, coupled with excellent coding skills in C# or VB. This role requires a bright individual with a passion for technology, coupled with sound knowledge and experience of both .NET and SQL Server Development.

The following skills/experience would all be relied upon or desirable: Web Technologies, Classic ASP and the migration of code to the .NET framework, SQL Server knowledge, Unit testing and knowledge of UML.

This role is an excellent opportunity to be involved with the full development process, working with business and technical contacts to define customer requirements and to devise successful solutions for these. It is therefore imperative that the successful candidate demonstrates excellent written and verbal skills and is confident in engaging with clients and translating their needs into effective technical solutions.
