Asbestos Lab Analyst – P401

A client based asbestos company that carries out numerous contracts for high profile clients is actively seeking for a competent and flexible Asbestos Lab Analyst/Administrator in the East of England and will include applications from Hertfordshire, Essex and the surrounding areas. Majority of the work will entail bulk analysis and quality control and the rest will include administrative duties.

Qualifications & Experience:

Ideally, the applicant must hold the P401 qualifications and at the same time must time must have experience working within this role in a laboratory environment and within the asbestos industry and at the same time must have some administrative experience.

Will have good formal education and will be proficient in using the Microsoft Package, using the Database.

Will have good communication and organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Receiving and appropriately logging samples received by the laboratory.

Preparing samples for analysis and carrying out analysis of samples for fibre content.

Completing analysis test sheets as and when required and ensuring every effort to complete workload within required time frame.

Getting involved with other laboratory as and when required.

Other duties will encompass organizing, multitasking and carrying out administrative duties.

Entering data and analyzing and checking reports.

Completing and uploading reports as and when required.

Liaising and assisting clients with regards to enquiries.

Dealing with internal and external databases and offering technical help to customers and staff.

Getting involved with other adhoc duties as and when required.

Ideally, the applicant must be focused, versatile and methodical and have good attention to detail and work as part of a team and without supervision.
