Area Sales Manager – Insurance Sales (medical)

Route One Recruitment is working exclusively with one of the UK’s largest provider of insured indemnity who is gaining a reputation for being the number one provider of a product that is mandatory for all Surgeons and Consultants in private practice.

Due to continued success, our client is now looking for an Area Sales Manager / Insurance Sales Manager to cover the North from the M62 upwards. The ideal location would be in and around Leeds / Bradford or further North near Stockton-On-Tees.

As an Area Sales Manager for our client, it will be your job to sell Medical Indemnity insurance to clients with private practice. This role will involve daily contact in both the field and over the phone with consultants of all specialities. The main focus of the role is the development of new business although some input into renewals each year is essential and required.

The role calls for a high level of understanding about the product and a high level of understanding of consultants and their working practices.

The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who is motivated, passionate and able to generate new business from scratch. You must be driven and have a good working knowledge of the insurance industry.

Insurance is a heavily regulated market and detailed notes, records and logs are required to comply with all FCA rules.

In return, our client is offering a basic of between £36,000 – £40,800 with an OTE of c£50k.
