Area Sales Engineer North UK

Salary: £42,000 – £60,000 per year

My client, a well know Robot Arm manufacturer, is seeking a dynamic Area Sales Engineer to join their sales team covering North UK – Primarily to develop new business & maintain existing business. This is a home based role, so you must be able to effectively cover North UK from where you live 

Key Responsibilities:

• Selling company products & services to End Users through planned and regular customer contact and visits.
• Optimise all sales opportunities and leads to gain new business.
• Action all customer enquiries promptly, converting these opportunities into sales and sustainable business.
• Prepare and present detailed quotations and specifications ensuring customer requirements are met for design, projects or order processing.
• Propose and present technical solutions to customers as required
• Negotiate contracts & review terms & conditions in line with company policy
• Coordinating the activities of others to meet customer specifications/requirement (e.g., Applications Team, Service Team or Third Party)
• Producing & submitting business reports (e.g., sales activity, application reports, sector analysis, competitor analysis)

Skills & Experience:

• Proven Sales Experience within the robotics or automation environment.
• Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close.
• Excellent relationship builder with the skills to communicate and influence at all levels from shop floor to senior management.
• Organised, approachable, dependable, and willing to go the extra mile
• Able to prioritise own workload & with the ability to work under pressure.
• Enthusiastic and highly motivated
• Good attention to detail
