Area Manager (Social Care)

Salary: £37.03 – £39.6 per hour

Defour Partnership is working with their client who is a National Social Care Charity to recruit for an Area Manager for the Southern Region.

About The Role

The Area Manager will play a key role in the region’s exciting growth plans and develop their presence as a leading Health & Social Care provider in the region with local brand identity and organisational profile.

The successful candidate will provide leadership to the Service Leaders who have responsibility for approx. 23 Services across Hampshire, Bournemouth, Poole and Portsmouth.

Reporting to the Managing Director you will be responsible for the operational and financial performance of the Services ensuring compliance with all statutory and contractual requirements. As part of the Leadership Team, you will contribute to the formulation of the organisation’s business planning process with overall responsibility for the implementation of the business plan within your allocated services.

About You

will be values driven, have strong leadership skills and a commitment to improving service delivery, the successful candidate will have a proven track record of managing multiple sites within an operational environment.

You will also have an understanding of quality and care in a regulated environment, be able to build sound internal and external relationships and an ability to inspire and motivate your teams.

Qualifications & Experience

You will have excellent knowledge of the care sector including regulatory and contractual frameworks and government legislation

Professional qualification in Health and Social Care e.g. NVQ 4/5, Qualified Nurse or Social Worker,

Evidence of Continuing Professional Development

Degree Level qualification in Business/ Social Care related subject is desirable
