Job Role – Area Manager – High Street Retailer:

The role consists of delivering excellent customer service through direct customer contact on the shop floor.

As Area Manager you will be responsible for:

  • Supporting the management team to ensure that sales targets are met
  • To assist the management team in overseeing the daily operation of the store
  • Maintain reports and administration
  • Key holder
  • Cash handling, banking procedures and security
  • To demonstrate products to customers, explaining benefits, features, price, quality, value and other information
  • Stock replenishment and merchandising
  • To notify the management of competitor activities
  • To assist the management in co-ordinating, and setting-up special events and promotions
  • To recommend/initiate action to enhance productivity, efficiency, effectiveness and profitability
  • General housekeeping
  • Delivering excellent customer service in line with company requirements
  • Health and safety
  • Dealing with any customer enquiries

Key Attributes – Area Manager – High Street Retailer:

As Area Mnager you must have:

  • Previous experience in a direct customer facing environment
  • Previous retail experience desired
  • Previous experience of managing and motivating a team
  • Ability to achieve sales targets
  • Previous key holding and duty management experience
  • Supervisory experience within a consultative environment
