Area Manager (Contract Cleaning)

Salary: £30,000 – £33,000 per year

I am currently working in partnership with one of the fastest growing independent facility management companies in the UK. My award winning client support all facilities management needs ranging from daily office cleaning, window cleaning, landscape gardening, carpet and floor cleaning, painting and decorating right through to purchasing consumables and arranging washroom and hygiene solutions. They work with a broad range of clients across a wide range of sectors including educational, manufacturing, retail and commercial. I am currently looking on their behalf for an Area Manager, the position is available immediately.

The Area Manager role will involve managing a portfolio of clients in the Leeds/Bradford area. This mixed portfolio consists of mainly commercial clients with some educational facilities, with around forty and approximately 150 staff to manage. Core duties for the role are as follows

* Managing a team of Site Managers and operatives including disciplinary and training matters (with head office support)

* Review management systems and improvement.

* Take responsibility for profitability of all contracts

* Reporting to company management

* Client meetings and liaison

Candidates for this role should have previous area management experience within the cleaning sector, reside in the “triangle” from the pennines in the west across to Doncaster in the east and north to the Leeds/Bradford area and hold a UK driving license. Candidates should must be capable of adding value to the team and with the capacity to growing with the company.

Salary negotiable £30,000 – £33,000, Company Car fully expensed (subject to a charge for private mileage), laptop, mobile phone, statutory pension and 20 days plus statutory bank holidays 28 days total
