About The Role

 

As our electrical teams go from strength to strength, we are pleased to invite applications for the position of Area Commissioning Electrician to be based out of our branch in Chandlers Ford.

To complement our teams your objectives will be to attend technical installations and support our local electrical teams with commissioning, electrical testing and applicational knowledge to maintain a customer centric focus throughout the business and to develop a “one team” ethic. This role will help and support the Electrical Manager and Supervisor to plan, manage, support and develop the area electricians as well as prioritise the electrical service / safety inspections as part of our core procedures.

Our commissioning electricians enable the engineers to confidently test and commission installs, while seeking best possible solution for the individuals and the business.

You will be someone who can train and mentor our current teams, along with new starters and apprentices from day one in the business, supporting their growth and sharing your knowledge and experience. You will need to be a logical and methodical thinker, someone who can look at a problem and use a practical way of thinking to resolve. You will need to be patient and work well with customers, ensuring that you set expectations in a timely manner always ensuring delivery of a first-class service. You will need to be flexible with regards to working hours during the week and on occasion willing to work long hours when required.

Other Tasks and Responsibilities;

  • To work as part of the UK Electro Submersible team delivering the highest standard of service to deliver a customer centric focus to our electrical department.
  • To help prioritize monthly electrical services and safety inspection schedules, help develop are prioritized efficient plans to minimise overdue tasks.
  • You will be working with the Asset and Support Manager to develop daily team objectives and plan electrical workloads.
  • You will attend sites with the local electrician to inspect the work being completed and test in accordance with the IEE regulations.
  • You will support the Electrical Manager and Supervisor to communicate the company objectives to electricians, ensuring their involvement in setting the objectives.
  • To maximise availability and utilisation of submersible pumping equipment and ancillary equipment within the northern and southern regions, you will need to confidently communicate with the Electrical Manager and Supervisor to achieve mutually agreeable solutions.
  • You will be responsible for all company administration relevant to this role, together with ensuring that quality assurance and health and safety policies are fully adhered to and that all activities are carried out in full compliance both with our policies and relevant statutory legislation.

Qualifications:

 

Desirable;

 

C&G 2382 -18th edition IET Wiring Regulation
ILM/CMI in Management or Diploma in Management Studies
Recognised Diploma in Supervision/Management
IOSH Managing Safely

Preferred;

C&G 2330 – Level 3 Certificate Electro Technical Technology

C&G2391- Inspection Testing & Certification

JIB Registered (ECS card Holder)

  • Electrical Field Engineer/Electrical Contractor or Project Manager knowledge
  • Excellent IT skills
