Salary: £28,800 – £34,800 per year

V-Recruit are currently recruiting on behalf of a reputable, fast growing horticultural contractor to place experienced Arborists to start work from the Sheffield yard on a temp -perm, or potentially straight-perm basis.

The overall aim of these roles is to work as part of the wider team, undertaking a variety of duties across general arboricultural operations and comply with company standards and industry best practice.

Some key responsibilities are as follows:

• To carry out skilled and unskilled arboriculture and general horticultural maintenance operations on a variety of contracts, including climbing, felling, and pruning
• To fell a range of small tress, shrubs, bushes, and general undergrowth to comply with contract specification
• To operate a range of machinery, including power tools and light plant e.g. hedge cutters, strimmers and chippers
• To have and maintain a good working knowledge of trees, plants and shrubs
• To use a knapsack sprayer under supervision, or unsupervised if PA1/PA6 is held
• To hand and dispose of waste materials i.e., chipper/load logs onto lorry, trailer or pick up – and to follow all company policy and guidance to ensure that work does not affect the environment.

Job Specifics

These are full time, permanent roles – our client may choose to pay probationary period through V-Recruit (usually 12 weeks)

Salary – £28,800 – £34,800depending on experience and tickets

Start date – immediate/as soon as possible following successful interview and vetting

Candidate requirements

The chosen candidates will have their CSCS card, CS 30, 31, 38 & 39 ideally. It is desirable for the candidates to have their full UK Driving Licence and access to their own transport.

We are looking to recruit candidates with at least 3 years horticultural/arbicultural experience, with supporting references

Some working away from home may be required
