Salary: £26,000 per year

The Main Purpose of the Job:

The position exists to ensure that an efficient and effective structure is maintained within the branch for meeting the needs of the Foster Care division, ensuring that all the management information is recorded appropriately in order to be able to provide clear and concise information for monitoring purposes and to also be able to provide statistics to our clients on the various campaigns and progress of potential foster carers. The Foster Care Apprentice will receive, liaise with and control the data about potential carers and be on hand to answer any queries from clients or applicants, at all times implementing standard procedures and representing the company.

The Key Accountabilities of the Job:

• To input and monitor all potential Foster Carers data accurately, clearly and on time in order that statistics can be utilised to monitor where potential applicants are coming from and what happens to them when they apply for a post at NRS Foster Care Recruitment service.
• To control information about where and when people apply to us to become a Foster Carer, in order to answer any queries they or client companies may have and maintain these relationships successfully.
• To support Directors, Managers and Consultants by providing administrative skills to maintain records as clearly and accurately as possible, facilitating core business activities.
• To greet and verify the details of new applicants and make telephone enquiries to their references in order to facilitate the rapid induction of suitable applicants into Network.
• To assist with undertaking the assessment of applicants skill levels in order to clarify their strengths and limitations and guide decision-making on their suitability to become a Foster Carer
• Support the Foster Care Practitioner with any tasks relating to the field of Foster Care recruitment.

The Critical Activites of the Job:

• Receiving new or potential applicants and representing the company to them.
• Accurately compiling and coding information for case of entry to the system.
• Verifying figures and text for anomalies.
• Keeping track of resources for the team by maintaining routine paperwork and details of own work resources initiating timely renewal of supplies.
• Working closely with work colleagues to achieve team objective.
• Supporting the whole team by providing administration skills.
• Concentrating on one perhaps demanding task for periods of hours or days.
• Overcoming conflicting demands and completing necessary tasks through dedication and patience.

The Foster Care Apprentice Administrator will ideally express:

Specific Key Duties:

• Answer all incoming telephone calls within 2 rings
• To meet and greet clients and applicants with a smile and positive manner, offering tea/coffee (if waiting for an interview
• General Office tidiness to be observed
• Activation of all new applicants: Inputting their information onto Excel
• Booking Home visits for consultants.
• Organise CRB Checks and Renewals of CRB checks.
• Diarise references to be chased
• Chase applicants for missing information.
• Fax / Email information as requested
• Archive applicants and log.
• Update availability lists daily
• Take the post daily and on time
• Respond to all applying applicants via the website within 4 hours and log all relevant information
• Type letters & Correspondence as required.
• Send out Performance Appraisals.
• Cover reception as and when required.
