Apprentice Facilities Assistant

Location: North London, N1 7JQ
Salary: �170 per week.
Term: Full Time, Permanent

Main Purpose of the role:
To provide support to Facilities Manager, including maintenance, administrative, postal and reception duties as well as health & safety, record management and customer facing services. We are looking for someone with good communication and organisational skills and have a genuine enthusiasm for delivering a customer focussed service.

You�ll provide excellent facilities services to a wide range of people both internally and externally. You�ll be responsible for answering and logging facilities calls, reporting and dealing with problems or escalating issues to service providers. You�ll also be providing reception duties, organising room and catering bookings, looking after equipment and supporting daily FM activities as part of your day.

If your customer focussed with the ability to communicate well with people at all levels this may be the role for you. You�ll also need excellent organisational skills with the ability to plan, able to adapt to conflicting demands and able to think on your feet to resolve problems in order to provide a high level of service in a busy environment.

Responsibilities:
� To undertake a development programme leading to a National Vocational Qualification as part of an apprenticeship.
� To actively participate in their own development plan, this will be agreed with the line manager and the assessor from the training provider.
� As directed, undertake a work programme in facilities management to both meet the needs of the Group as well as develop practical skills and knowledge of FM, including maintenance, Customer Services, Health & Safety, Office Management and Corporate & Social Responsibility
� General administrative and/or reception duties to support the Receptionist as and when required
� To use information technology systems to carry out duties in the most efficient and effective manner.
� To achieve personal appraisal targets, as agreed by the line manager.
� To carry out duties and responsibilities in accordance with the Group�s strategic vision.
� To ensure that duties are undertaken with due regard and compliance with all statutory and Health & Safety requirements, the Data Protection Act and other legislation
� To undertake other duties commensurate to the grade of the post.

� Internal and external relationships are key to the success of this role; through the building of strong relationships, and maintaining a high profile of Facilities across the business with all departments at all levels
� Sensible prioritisation of daily tasks and duties with an understanding of time management
� Continuously strive to improve service around the sites
� Be proactive in the duties of the role

� Increasing proficiency of the apprentice in both Customer Service and Facilities Management skills and understanding
� Effective performance and realisation of daily tasks
� Continuously increase profile and service levels of the role and the department
� Successfully complete a programme of training internally and externally in relation to Facilities Management and Customer Services.
