Application Support Analyst (ASP, SQL, HTML, XML) – Luton

We are a market leading organisation based in Luton, with an excellent reputation in our industry. As an international company we offer a world class service to our customers and we are now looking to add further members to our already talented Application Support Team, where you will work with one of our flag-ship products.

As an Application Support Analyst (or Software / Technical Engineer) you will be a critical part of the 2nd and 3rd line team offering comprehensive, timely and accurate responses to a variety of complex technical requests. You should ideally be working in a software environment (ideally with bespoke applications or products) with experience in either ASP or ASP.NET, along side skills in SQL, JavaScript, HTML and XML.

As an Application Support Analyst (or Software / Technical Engineer) your responsibilities will be:

  • Researching and recreating customer reported issues
  • Identifying any bugs in the code, with the use of ASP, SQL and web services / technologies
  • Provide customers with known fixes to issues and set time-scale expectations accordingly
  • Escalate issues as required through to the development team on identification of any defects
  • Assist with testing of fixes and new releases of software to make sure that they are ready for release

Experience required for the Application Support Analyst role:

  • Experience of working in a customer and software support environment (preferably with bespoke products), at a minimum of 2nd line
  • Diagnostic skills including the proven ability to troubleshoot and analyse technical issues and bugs
  • Strong experience in either ASP or ASP.NET as well as SQL, JavaScript, HTML / XML is essential to be considered for this role
  • Knowledge of ODBC & VB would be a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to provide excellent customer service
  • Self-motivation and pro-active attitude
  • Flexibility, with the ability capacity to handle multiple tasks at any one time

Location: Luton, Bedfordshire

Salary: £36,000 – £48,000 (dependant on experience) + 10% bonus, family healthcare, pension, 25 days holiday
