Analytical Chemist

If you an experienced Analytical Chemist from a manufacturing or production environment looking for a challenging new role we’d love to hear from you! Lab Support are currently looking for an experienced Shift Chemist to work for a successful chemical manufacturer. This is a responsible position and work will involve troubleshooting and liaison with production. This is a long term contract with potential to go permanent and a great opportunity for a QC analyst with some manufacturing experience to develop their problem solving skills and technical skills!

Role responsibilities will include:
• Analysing samples to support production according to specifications, procedures and test methods by GC, HPLC, particle size analysis, moisture tests and pH.
• Development and improvement of methods of analysis
• troubleshooting
• Maintaining records and documentation
• Authorisation of raw materials
• Responsibility for in process control and final manufactured product
• Keeping the laboratory area clean and fully stocked

To apply for the job the successful candidate must have:
• Industrial/commercial experience of using HPLC and GC in addition
• Educated to a degree or equivalent in Chemistry.
• A good understanding of GMP and GLP and familiarity with ISO9001.
• Teamwork and good problem solving skills.
• This job will involve rotating 12 hour day and night shifts and experience with shifts is preferred but not necessary.
