The Institute of Recruiters (IOR) is the professional body providing guidance, training education and networking to Agency Recruiters, In-House Recruiters and Human Resources. The IOR is the British Institute representing the highest standard mark in British Recruitment by underpinning its entire education and training to the British National Occupational Standards for recruitment and HR. As a professional body for HR, Agency & In-House recruiters, it is the new voice of professionals working in the recruitment and retention process that fall into the areas of agency recruitment, resourcing, corporate (in-house) recruitment and HR.
Growth of the IOR has been phenomenal. Now a named British institute, a status granted by the Secretary of State for Business Innovation and Skills (BIS), the IOR now works with government and Downing Street. Classed by government as ‘a professional recruitment membership body of the highest standing’, the IOR is the only official British institute to offer membership to both recruitment companies and individual recruiters. IOR Membership levels are select, based on assessed and qualified international standards. It is also the custodian of the largest Linkedin social group of its kind in the UK and has representatives in over 20 countries (Twitter@IOR).
Based in Manchester, as an IOR Ambassador you would represent the IOR in your region, undertaking a trusted and rewarding role. You could be part of shaping the future of recruitment and ensuring the professionalism of the industry, putting HR and Recruiters on the same professional level Accountants and Solicitors.
The main duties of an Ambassador are to engage with the IOR team to learn about its services and offerings, and keep this knowledge up to date, to attend regular regional meetings with other regional Ambassadors.
