Air Import Clerk

Right Now Group is looking for an Air Import Coordinator to join a growing Freight Forwarder based in the Manchester area.

The ideal candidate will be able to complete Import formalities in a 360 capacity including customs clearance, organising collection from Airline sheds and completing deliveries to final point of delivery. Liaising with hauliers and negotiating pricing for transport.

• Hours: 8 & 1/2 hour day commencing between 09:00 – 17:30:00
• Shift: Mon-Fri
• Permanent Contract
• Air freight
• Located in Manchester

Duties and responsibilities of a Air Import Coordinator:

• Handling the process of import consignments from start to finish in a 360 capacity.
• Handling / Booking of shipments with airlines and overseas offices
• Completing customs clearances.
• Providing quotations to clients for import and cross trade requests
• Maintaining and updating EWL System
• Cover overtime as and when required – negotiable.

The successful candidate will:

• Have Air Import experience.
• Experience with booking of shipments with airlines or overseas offices
• Have excellent spoken & written communications skills in English.
• Be able to work as part of a team, under pressure & tight deadlines.

Salary: £23,000 – £32,000
